Leiden Scholars for Palestine (LSP) is a network of education workers at Leiden University committed to solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for liberation and self-determination. In response to the Palestinian Campaign for the Cultural and Academic Boycott of Israel (PACBI) and the Palestinian civil society call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS), we mobilize for the boycott of Israeli cultural and academic institutions complicit in the occupation, repression, exile, dispossession, and genocide of the Palestinian people. We call on our own institution to cut all ties with institutions and companies involved in, complicit with, or profiting from the continued oppression, dispossession, and colonisation of Palestine and Palestinians.
We have written letters, petitions, and op-eds campaigning for the boycott of Israeli academic institutions complicit in war crimes and other violations of international law.
We have organized events educating students and staff about the history, politics, economics, and culture of Palestine.
We have staged a weekly sit-in and a monthly walk-out.
We are working together with the labour unions.
