This week we commemorate the victims of three years of genocide.

Palestinians in Gaza still survive in inhumane conditions, with a purposely decimated health care system, destroyed infrastructure, continued food shortages, and disastrous lack of basic hygiene. The settler attacks in the West Bank are escalating with impunity. Southern Lebanon has been destroyed.

And yet, Leiden University is starting new research collaborations with Israeli institutions complicit in these atrocities under the banner of their 'more nuanced approach'. This is unacceptable.

Leiden Scholars for Palestine are organizing events to allow the academic community to engage with these realities and democratically and critically respond to them. Unfortunately, we cannot yet share details of these events, because we are receiving pushback with our room bookings (still!).

For now, please mark your calendars:

27 October 17:00-18:00 General Assembly - somewhere in Leiden
8 November 13:00 Voorbij de Rode Lijn: Geen geld voor genocide - national demo in Amsterdam

Hoping to get back to you soon with more details.

We always need more people and your contribution can be small or big, discrete or loud.
Meanwhile, you are always welcome to join the weekly silent protest at Rapenburg 70 on Tuesdays 12-12:30.

In solidarity,

Leiden Scholars for Palestine
